Additional English lessons for juniors looking to improve their English

This specialised English course gives students aged 14 years and over the opportunity to apply themselves in both morning and afternoon English lessons. Every morning they will attend group lessons, followed by lessons on two afternoons, leaving three afternoons for them to participate in the vibrant activity programme.

For older students (16+ years) who are looking to improve their English faster, we suggest the adult intensive English course. Students study English on four afternoons, in addition to their morning lessons. We only recommend this course for more serious & mature young students.

English lessons per week: 19 hours English tuition per week – mornings plus two afternoons
Students aged 16+ wishing to study 22.5 hours per week can join the adult intensive course.
Maximum class size: 16 students
Course duration: 1 – 6 weeks
Course dates 2024*:
8th April – 3rd May (14-17 years),
17th June – 30th Aug (16 & 17 years),
21st Oct – 1st Nov (14-17 years)
Location: The semi intensive course takes place at St Brelade’s College year-round. Note: this differs from the holiday course during the summer.
English level: All levels accepted
Summer activity programme: Three afternoon activities, two or three evening activities plus weekend beach games every week
Rest of year activity programme: Three afternoon activities plus weekly evening BBQ party

* At the discretion of the school management, students one year outside of the recommended age range may occasionally be accepted on the course.
