Ministay programme for school groups

School groups in Jersey

Welcome to St Brelade’s College on the island of Jersey

St Brelade’s College in Jersey was founded in 1978, in order to provide quality English courses for international students on the safe and beautiful island of Jersey. The school is British Council accredited and we provide a range of fully inclusive English courses for all ages and interests, as well as accommodation in homestay and residences.

Our ministay programme is available in the spring and autumn and is designed for school groups of 30 students or more, plus teachers. It provides a short immersion into the English language and culture and can be organised to the specific needs of the group.

Only 1 hour and 20 minutes by ferry from St Malo or a 45 minute flight from London, Jersey is easily accessible at all times of year. Students under the age of 18 years travelling as part of the group from the E.U. via St Malo to Jersey can travel using their national I.D. card which helps to minimise costs.

Jersey has an abundance of beautiful landscapes and clean beaches, along with a rich heritage so students have a wide range of options for afternoon activities.

Choose from north coast walks, such as Grosnez to Plemont, St Catherine’s east coast walk, St Brelade’s bay to Beauport bay, Val de la Mare reservoir walks. In some cases, it is possible to combine walks or beach visits with activities. If you are interested in doing so, please enquire and we can provide options.

Travel

Many of our groups arrive early on Monday morning and come straight to school and leave on Friday after activities. This maximises the experience, whilst keeping the cost low, as students can participate in 5 mornings of lessons, 5 activities but only require 4 nights accommodation. Please check Condor Ferries arrival times to see what options may be suitable for your group.

Students under the age of 18 years travelling on a school trip from the E.U. via St Malo to Jersey, are also not required to have a passport and can travel using their national I.D. card. This helps to keep costs down for those wishing to take part.

Please note: For groups of under 30 students there is a 10% surcharge.
