English lessons and excursions with students of a similar age

Our 50+ English programme is designed to appeal to mature students who want to enjoy what Jersey has to offer in the company of people of a similar age.

Our morning lessons aim to strengthen your understanding of English and improve confidence & fluency. You will work on all the fundamental language skills during lessons, with a focus on communication.

With its stunning scenery and easy-going lifestyle, Jersey is well-suited to the mature student. The social programme includes coastal & country walks, garden & manor visits, excursions to Jersey’s main attractions & historical sites and social evenings where you can get to know each other in a relaxed environment.

English lessons per week: 15 hours per week – mornings only
Maximum class size: 10 students
Course duration: 2 weeks
Course dates: 6th – 17th May, 27th May – 7th June, 26th August – 6th September, 9th – 20th September 2024
Minimum age: 50 years*
Minimum level of English: Elementary
Social programme: Four afternoon excursions per week, a full day island tour, weekly pub evening, dinner at a local restaurant or pub (food & drinks not included)

* Classes may include students on other programmes, however the majority of the students in the class are aged 50 years or over. Some excursions and social evenings are also shared with other adult students.
