Experience British life by staying with a Jersey host

Staying with a local, English-speaking host whilst in Jersey is one of the best ways to discover more about the island, culture and people. Our hosts welcome you into their homes and provide a casual & supportive environment in which you can continue your English experience.

We work closely with hosts around the island, many of whom have been working with us for numerous years, granting us the knowledge to place students appropriately.

In accordance with British Council regulations, our hosts are visited and checked regularly by our Student Services department, who also check them through the relevant authorities.

This option is ideal if you want to immerse yourself in Jersey life or are looking for reasonably priced accommodation over the short or longer term.

HOMESTAY FACTS

Your host: Homestay providers include individuals, couples, families, single parents and retired people
Board: Half board, comprising breakfast and an evening meal. Lunch options (supermarket & cafes) can be found within walking distance of the school.
Rooms: Single or double rooms
Location: Around the island
Daily transport: Free public bus travel included to and from school. In most cases students should expect to spend around 30 minutes on the bus, although in some cases the scheduled journey time may be up to 1 hour. Private transport is included for all afternoon activities. Students need to make their own way to the pub evening and depending on the location for the evening meal, transport may be provided from designated points.
Transfers: Airport and harbour transfers included
Laundry & cleaning: Bed linen & bath towels provided, as well as weekly room cleaning. A light laundry service is provided weekly.
