Holiday courses for juniors: English language learning and activities

Our holiday courses are designed to supplement the English learnt by students at their own schools. They consolidate students’ knowledge of grammar and allow them to practise speaking English.

In the afternoons, students can enjoy the best of what Jersey has to offer as part of their English course; watersports, indoor sports, cultural visits, leisure activities & beach games. Evening sports & social activities are also arranged for students and you can feel comfortable for their safety on this friendly island.

English lessons per week: 15 hours – mornings only
Maximum class size: 16 students
Course duration: 1 – 6 weeks
Course dates 2024*:
8th – 26th April (13-16 years),
29th April – 3rd May (12-16 years),
17th June – 30th Aug (12-16 years),
21st – 25th Oct (12-16 years)
Location: Outside of summer, the holiday course takes place at St Brelade’s College. In the summer, all holiday course students study at Highlands College. Note: this differs from the semi intensive course during the summer.
English level: All levels accepted
Summer activity programme: Afternoon activities every weekday and two or three evening activities per week for teenagers plus weekend beach games
Year-round activity programme: Afternoon activities every weekday plus weekly evening BBQ party

* At the discretion of the school management, students one year outside of the recommended age range may occasionally be accepted on the course.
